On May 3, 2000 the first geocache was placed by Dave Ulmer in America, and these geocoins celebrate the 15th anniversary of the sport. Each features XV (the Roman numerals for 15) on the back while the front has a detachable plate in the shape of the number 15 held in place by a magnet. Translucent enamel reveals sub-enamel details in the design.
